DESCRIPTION:Join us for the City of Berkeley’s annual free Harvest Festival\, a chance to honor the Fall season with live music and kids’ activities. Enjoy a full day of free family fun at Cedar Rose Park with live music\, kids’ activities\, food contests\, and more. \nThe event features booths from City departments\, a seed swap\, and a wide variety of entertainment and hands-on experiences for all ages. Kids can zip down a zipline\, jump in giant inflatables\, make scarecrows\, decorate pumpkins\, and win prizes at carnival games in the “Kids Zone.” Younger children can explore the “Tot’s Zone\,” which includes a small jumper\, sandbox\, arts and crafts\, and face painting. \nBring a blanket or lawn chair and relax to live music from Brilliance of Baycoin Beats\, Andre Thierry\, Soucano\, and DJ Disfunkshun. Food trucks will be on-site offering a range of food options throughout the day. The park is accessible by AC Transit #52 and is a short walk from North Berkeley BART. Free bike valet will be available for those arriving on two wheels. We’re looking for volunteers ages 12 and up to assist with setup\, activity stations\, contests\, and cleanup. It’s a great way to earn service hours\, meet neighbors\, and support a fun\, family-friendly event. All volunteers must sign up in advance. Same-day registration will not be available. Register for the Food Contest and show off your best homemade creations! Registration is free\, and entries will be accepted from 9:00 am to 11:30 am.

Whether you are new at sailing or an “old salt\,” you can enjoy a spectacular voyage within sight of the University of California\, the Bay Bridge\, San Francisco\, and the Golden Gate! \nCSC is an independent\, non-profit cooperative; our popular Open Houses are a great way to get a free sail of around ½ hour in one of the most beautiful settings on the planet — and to learn about boat and waterfront safety\, Bay ecology\, and the fun of non-motorized watercraft. \nDates for 2025 Open Houses\n\n Sunday March 30\n Saturday April 26 coincides with Berkeley Bay Festival\n Sunday May 18\n Sunday June 29 coincides with the Pride Celebration\n Sunday July 27\n Sunday August 24\n Sunday September 28\n Sunday October 26\n\nAlmost all Open Houses are held from 1-3 pm Sunday afternoons (and sometimes on Saturday to coincide with other activities at the Marina).
