DESCRIPTION:Join Us for a Special Community Event with Local First Responders! \nMeeting first responders can sometimes feel overwhelming—especially for individuals with communication differences\, sensory sensitivities\, or unique ways of interacting with the world. This event is designed to create a safe\, welcoming\, and fun space where neurodiverse individuals and their families can get to know local first responders\, explore their safety equipment\, and build positive connections. \nAll ages and all neurotypes are welcome! \nThis event builds on a webinar presented in May 2023 by Dr. Jessika Hurts and Officer Brian Simmons\, “Preparing Individuals with Autism for Encounters with Law Enforcement.” \n✨ We’d love to know who’s coming!
